The Northern Handicraft Producers and Exporters Association, or NOHMEX
Established in 1991 (2534 BE), almost 30 years ago, it consists of 13 handicraft producers from the Northern region, aiming to solve production industry problems in the handicraft sector of Northern Thailand. Simply put, it's a collective group formed to create bargaining power and market advantages, focusing primarily on the needs of its members. Starting as a small group, it steadily grew until 1994 (2537 BE), when the group of producers officially registered as the 'Association of Small and Medium Handicraft Producers and Exporters of the North,' including other related service companies, all gathered to promote, support the development of the handicraft industry, and assist in market analysis and research for their products. Currently, the organization has over 250 members [and continues to grow]. Our association is recognized as a coordinator for activities from various organizations, both public and private.
